If the infamous revving of the DB9 was not enough…. here comes the new Aston Martin…. the DBS!!
Wondering what Aston’s new business venture may look like? Well, if you are a frequent film-watcher, and have watched the last James Bond; Casino Royale, you’ve already seen it. Yes, that’s right, even Bond has been behind it’s wheel. The DBS was revealed earlier this year…. but if you aren’t a motorhead you probably wouldn’t have seen it.
The DBS is powered by a 6 litre V12 and has been tuned to give 380 Kw and 570Nm or torque. And the acceleration…. 0-100Km/h in 4.3 seconds.
And, so, moving away from Aston, we come to the new Jaguar, the XF. It seems Jaguar has gotten bored of their old look and have started a whole new design language. The new XF is four-door, and is set to replace the S-Type. The new Jag has a whole set of nice features… touchscreen interior…. parking aids… distance control and an electronic parking brake. The XF seems to be a make (or Break) car for Jaguar, and will range from a 2.7 litre v6 diesel to a 4.2 litre V8.

Hmmm… I think that, although the Jag sounds “tempting”, I seem to be favouring the Aston…

Just some information, Hanik, The new Jaguar XF is a new step in the design of Jaguar. I cannot say if you have seen the new model, but whether you like it or not is up to you. The XF showcases much different looks compared to the
ageing X and S Type, and the XJ series.
Jaguar Cars could be considered a cheaper alternative to an Aston Martin, and while they certainly have a remarkable performance record, are often ridiculed and stereotyped as ‘a poor man’s Aston Martin.’
Some Aston Martin’s do have horrendous depreciation after purchase, as do some Jaguars, but most produced Aston Martin’s are Coupes, and often, as a result, interior space is sacrificed. But whether you choose to favour Jaguar over Aston Martin or Aston Martin over Jaguar, it is completely your choice.

I would not buy either of these, even though i’m leaning towards the aston. Hanik, do u want to be beaten up? thats whatll happen if u buy the jag. It’s and old guys fancy car that gets taken out to dinner once in a while. On the other hand, I think that some people are undeserving of such power. Rahul and Bryan may have, but there is recently a DB9 roaming the streets of Crawford. But its disgusting that that 6 litre V12 it put to no use except cart around his daughter to school and back. If it were my choice i’d buy a Camaro, Impala, Dodge or Holdgen(as you can guess i’m a muscle car fan- cause my dad had a camaro when I was young).

As an extremely satisfied XF owner, I can tell you the new Jaguar is NOT an old man’s car, used for an occasional trip. It’s one hell of a car – fast, beautiful, classy and comfortable – and I made the decision to buy one 30 seconds into my first test drive.
I’d happily park it next to any BMW, Lexus, or Mercedes, and take wages on which one gets the most attention. The XF is a real head-turner in person.
